Mrs Goundo’s daughter

I would like to recommend the movie “Mrs Goundo’s daughter” to you, a documentary about a Mali woman fighting for asylum in the United States to protect her two-year old daughter from having to undergo female genital mutilation.

The movie was realised by filmmakers Barbara Attie and Janet Goldwater. You can read an interview with them here.

Ich möchte euch den Film “Mrs Goundo’s daughter” empfehlen, einen Dokumentation über eine Mutter, die dafür kämpft, in den USA bleiben zu dürfen damit ihre zweijährige Tochter nicht in Mali genitalverstümmelt wird.

Der Film wurde von zwei Regiseeurinnen, Barbara Attie und Janet Goldwater realisiert. Hier könnt ihr ein Interview mit Ihnen lesen (auf Englisch).
