I would like to recommend this video to you. It is calld “Dialog on FGM” and it show a piece of the discussion about FGM in Ethiopia. This video is a very good example of the arguments I have to deal with every day in my fight against FGM.

Congratulations to whoever is doing this work. Truly great.
I have an 8 year old granddaughter named Amira. She is so bright, intelligent and thoughtful. I sometimes find myself imagining if she were subjected to FGM. I cannot describe how terrified it makes me feel. I know she would never be the same again not merely physically but mentally, emotionally,spiritually. Unbearable.

It’s a big progress if community elder has medical information about FGM. It is a good sign! Big respect to you Waris – it’s mainly your success. A thousand milion of little African girls, who aren’t circumcised now, will be grateful to you in future:)
