“Desert Flower” Fundraiser Screenings – Get involved!

We would like to thank April Ling from the Hopes and Dreams Foundation from Adelaine/Australia and Naomi Schouten and Veerle Veth, two Dutch Medicine students, from the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) in Nijmegen, Netherlands, for organizing a Fundraiser on behalf of the Desert Flower Foundation. The funds raised during these events will be invested in Waris Dirie`s project “Together for African Women”, to create jobs and support education for women and girls in Africa.

Wir möchten uns bei April Ling von der Hopes and Dreams Foundation aus Adelaide/Australien und Naomi Schouten und Veerle Veth, zwei Medizin Studentinnen, der internationalen Medical Students Association in Nijmegen, Niederlande bedanken, dass sie Fundraising Events für die Desert Flower Foundation mit exklusiven Vorführungen des Films „Wüstenblume“ organisieren. Alle Einnahmen aus diesen beiden Veranstaltungen kommen zur Gänze Waris Dirie`s Projekt „Together for African Women“ zugute, dass Arbeitsplätze und Ausbildung für Frauen und Mädchen schafft.

    Congratulations ! You can be very proud of yourselves. Currently I have contact with a somalian guy who is working with releif international….i want to start a fundraising programme at my school as well we are working together concerning the cutting of female girls and wpmen……..there are so many things to be done………….we will work together!
