Young African researcher and entrepreneurs present their ideas at the GES 2011 in Kiel

6 Oct

Between the 4th and the 6th of October, 400 leading economists, researchers, businessmen, politicians and lobbyists and -women and many journalists and bloggers are GES in Kiel / Germany to discuss current challenges and issues related to the global economy.

Some of the issues addressed are highly interesting and directly affect areas in which the Desert Flower Foundation operates. These include women’s rights and gender equality (there was a highly interesting discussion between five very powerful and influential women on board diversity and ways to achieve it), entrepreneurship in developing countries, as well as the phenomenon of “land-grabbing” and the problem of food insecurity in Africa.

More updates and reports on the outcome of these discussions will be posted this week!
