MADNESS: 2 YEAR OLD GIRL CUT IN IRELAND

In september 2016 a two year old girl became a victim of genital female mutilation in Ireland.
After the arrest of the girl’s father, a Somali in his 30s, the authorities are now looking for a woman who is said to have cut the girl on the father’s request. After the arrest the 2 year old was treated in hospitals for her injuries.

There are approximately  3780 women who are affected by FGM in Ireland.

Altough FGM is illegal since the Criminal Justice Act 2012 it is believed that the arrest is the first of its kind in Ireland.

We demand from the Irish government to invest into education and information about FGM in order to raise awareness of this cruel ritual, which is also practiced in Ireland.

WAHNSINN: 2- JÄHRIGES MÄDCHEN IN IRLAND BESCHNITTEN

Im September 2016 wurde ein 2-jähriges Mädchen Opfer von Genitalverstümmelung in Irland.

Nach der Verhaftung des Vaters, eines ca. 30-jährigen Somalis, sind die Behörden nun auf der Suche nach einer Frau, die auf Anfrage des Vaters das kleine Mädchen beschnitten haben soll. Nach der Festnahme des Vaters, wurde das Mädchen medizinisch versorgt.

In Irland leben rund 3 780 Frauen, die Opfer von Genitalverstümmelung wurden.
Seit dem “Criminal Justice Act 2012” gilt FGM in Irland als illegal, trotzdem soll dies der erste Fall einer Strafverfolgung sein.

Wir fordern die irische Regierung auf ihre Ressourcen in Bildung, Informationen und Wissen über FGM zu investieren, um ein Bewusstsein für das grausame Ritual in Irland zu schaffen!
