Melbourne – As a cultural partner of The Melbourne International Film Festival, Gucci was invited to co-host the Australian premiere screening of “DesertFlower” with Harper’s Bazaar.
An impressive crowd consisting of MIFF delegates, Film Industry patrons,
local celebrities, Gucci VIP clients and Melbourne social faces attended
the exclusive pre-screening cocktail reception.
Most importantly the event raised money and awareness among the public at
large regarding the problem of female genital mutilation. All proceeds from
the event have been donated to The Waris Dirie Foundation.
Melbourne – Im Zuge des Melbourne Film Festivals organisierte Gucci Australien gemeinsam mit der Zeitschrift Harper’s Bazaar eine Charity Premiere des Films “Wüstenblume” zu Gunsten der Waris Dirie Foundation.
Die Premiere lockte neben Delegierten des Melbourne Filmfestivals und Größen aus der Filmbranche auch zahlreiche lokale Stars und VIP Gäste ins Kino und zum vorab veranstalteten Cocktail Empfang.
Der Event war aber nicht nur ein erfolgreiches Fundraising für die Waris Dirie Foundation, sondern trug dazu bei, Bewusstsein für weibliche Genitalverstümmelung in Australien zu schaffen. Alle Einnahmen des Abends wurden der Waris Dirie Foundation gespendet.
